    Il castello di Bassenheim (proprietà privata di Frhr. von Waldthausen-Osten) può essere generalmente "visitato" solo dall'esterno. Fanno eccezione le visite guidate o gli eventi nella cappella del parco.
    L'odierno castello di Bassenheim ha le sue origini nel XVI secolo, che fu poi costruito come fortificazione con fossato.
