    Il municipio di Gerlachsheim è un imponente edificio storico che merita una visita. Consiglio: prendetevi il tempo per dare un'occhiata più da vicino all'architettura e ai dettagli della facciata: raccontano molto della storia del luogo. Particolarmente bella è la piazza antistante il municipio, che costituisce un ottimo punto di partenza per la visita della città. Per chi vuole vivere un pezzo di tradizione vale la pena fare una deviazione qui.

    I componenti originali provengono dall'alto medioevo, 13° secolo. La planimetria è rimasta pressoché invariata da allora.

    L'attuale edificio del 1579 (rinascimentale) documenta la fiducia in se stessi di una cittadinanza libera e prospera pochi anni dopo la fine della servitù della gleba nel 1561 da parte del langravio Ludwig Heinrich zu Leuchtenberg.

    Il piano superiore colpisce per la sua ricca struttura a graticcio decorativo e fa apparire l'edificio come uno dei più bei municipi della Franconia.
