    Forte con pianta a ferro di cavallo, costruito su un promontorio, all'ingresso del porto di Santoña. Bisogna salire pochi gradini, ma non troppi e si può accedere al patio centrale, alla parte superiore e alle mostre se ce ne sono. In estate è aperto dal lunedì alla domenica dalle 11:00 alle 14:00 e dalle 18:00 alle 21:00. Il biglietto (€ 3) dà diritto all'accesso alla fortificazione e alle mostre.

    Il Fuerte de San Martín si trova alla fine del lungomare di Santoña e offre una bella vista sulla baia, il lungomare, Santoña e dall'altro lato la Playa de San Martín vicino a Laredo. Sfortunatamente, il cancello all'interno del forte era chiuso a chiave, non ho idea se ci fossero orari di apertura per la visualizzazione.
