    Nordic walking

    Gli inizi del castello con fossato Schloss Berge risalgono al XIII secolo. Oggi il complesso del palazzo ristrutturato è utilizzato come albergo, ristorante e sala conferenze. Numerosi sono i tesori botanici in tutta l'area delle aree verdi intorno al castello. Il parco del castello con un giardino alla francese e uno all'inglese e il Berger See invitano a fare una passeggiata.

    Fu costruito come castello con fossato per proteggere quello che oggi è il quartiere Erle di Gelsenkirchen e fu la sede ancestrale della famiglia von Berge fino al 1433.
    Trasformata in palazzo nella prima metà del Cinquecento e rimaneggiata nuovamente nell'ultimo quarto del Settecento, la villa padronale del complesso si presenta in stile tardo barocco alle soglie del classicismo. Attualmente è adibito a ristorante d'albergo
