    La prima chiesetta di Tychy fu eretta intorno al 1480 a poca distanza.
    Nel XVI secolo fu costruito un altro tempio in legno per la comunità protestante, su una dolce collina vicino a uno stagno al centro dell'insediamento, che fu occupato dai cattolici nel 1653.
    Nel 1782, al suo posto, fu consacrato un nuovo tempio in muratura, che, dopo la ricostruzione, si trova ancora oggi.
    Nel cimitero parrocchiale intorno alla chiesa sono sepolte persone legate alla storia della città e della regione, incl. FR. Jan Kapica.
