    La Torre delle Case è una struttura che ha avuto origine in Toscana nell'alto medioevo in Italia e veniva utilizzata da influenti famiglie urbane per scopi residenziali e difensivi. Alla fine del XIII secolo, nella città commerciale di Ratisbona, arricchitasi grazie al commercio con l'Italia, fu copiato il metodo di costruzione a nord delle Alpi.
