    Il Waldecker Schlossberg conserva i resti di un castello che è uno dei più antichi dell'Alto Palatinato. Fu menzionato per la prima volta in un documento nel 1124. Nel 1794 un devastante incendio distrusse il castello e la città di Waldeck.
