Fu fatta costruire dai Caballeros de la Flor y Nata di Ciudad Real (Velarde, Céspedes e Treviño) nella seconda metà del 14° secolo e non finì per essere costruita secondo i piani originali poiché furono apportate aggiunte the artistic styles that followed, in addition due to the problems that arose in its construction, which forced it to have that fortress-like appearance with a low height in its central nave compared to the lateral ones and those thick buttresses on the north side.
