    La chiesa romanica di Ampleben fu costruita intorno al 1200. Ha una storia a scacchi. Inizialmente sotto il patrocinio di von Uetzen, nel 1423 passò al duca Heinrich Julius, che lo passò al rispettivo proprietario del castello come feudo ducale... si può leggere tutto sulla lapide di legno davanti a questa imponente chiesa.
