The Rinnerhütte is a welcoming mountain hut nestled at 1,473 meters in the western part of Austria's Totes Gebirge (Dead Mountains), within the scenic Salzkammergut region of Upper Austria. Managed by the Bergsteigerbund Ebensee, this traditional Schutzhaus serves as a popular resting point and an excellent base for exploring the surrounding alpine landscape. Its "house mountain" is the impressive Rinnerkogel, a 2,012-meter peak that stands proudly southwest of the hut.

The Rinnerhütte offers around 20 beds and 35 mattress dormitory spaces. While blankets and pillows are provided, guests are required to bring their own hut sleeping bag. These can also be purchased directly at the hut if you forget yours.
