    L'edificio della stazione di Tournai è stato costruito in stile neorinascimentale e secondo i progetti dell'architetto di Kortrijk Henri Beyaert.
    Inaugurato nell'agosto del 1879 alla presenza del re Leopoldo II, questo bellissimo edificio colpisce per le sue dimensioni, con una lunghezza di 120 metri.
    La cupola di vetro di 18 metri sopra le piattaforme fu colpita dai bombardamenti nel 1940 e nel 1944 e non fu mai ricostruita. L'edificio della stazione è stato restaurato ed è splendidamente illuminato di notte.
