    Fort de Pepinster è un forte belga situato a 3 km a sud di Pepinster. Fu costruito negli anni '30 e si aggiunse, con quelli di Aubin-Neufchâteau, Battice e Ében-Émael, ai 12 forti della Posizione Fortificata di Liegi costruiti intorno al 1880. Fu l'ultimo forte e l'ultima unità belga ad arrendersi Forze tedesche durante la campagna dei 18 giorni nei primi giorni della seconda guerra mondiale. È conservato e può essere visitato.

    Fort Tancremont era il più piccolo dei forti nell'esteso anello di Liegi. Il complesso ha pianta quadrata irregolare e fu costruito contemporaneamente al forte belga Eben-Emael. Durante la seconda guerra mondiale, la fortezza non fu più infastidita dal successo dell'attacco a Eben-Emael e riuscì quindi a resistere all'aggressore tedesco fino al 29 maggio 1940. Il forte si trova ora sulla strada da Banneux a Verviers e può essere visitato come museo.

    Il Fort de Tancrèmont è un forte cosiddetto “moderno”, l'ultimo ad essere stato costruito (dal 1935 al 1937) senza gli errori dei precedenti. Fa parte della linea PFL1, una linea di fortificazione che si estende da Eben Emael, Aubin, Battice. Ha le stesse dimensioni di quella di Aubin le Château. Il suo armamento è ancora presente.
