    Il Monastero di San Jerónimo è stato il primo monastero costruito a Granada dopo la conquista della città da parte dei cristiani e la sua fondazione risale addirittura a prima della presa della città da parte dei Re Cattolici. Nella sua chiesa fu sepolto il Gran Capitano accanto alla moglie.
    La costruzione del Monastero di San Jerónimo iniziò nel 1504, nel luogo chiamato Almorava, che oggi occupa l'ospedale di San Juan de Dios.

    Magnifico monastero della prima metà del XVI secolo, completato nel 1547 sotto Diego de Siloé, che qui a Granada costruì anche la cattedrale.
