    San Jost è il patrono dei pellegrini.
    Ogni anno, il primo sabato delle vacanze estive dell'Assia, la giornata di pellegrinaggio ecumenico a Fischbachtal inizia nella cappella con una preghiera.

    La nuova cappella forestale in legno è stata costruita nel 2010 molto vicino a dove si dice sorgesse l'antica cappella di St. Jost. Il percorso di pellegrinaggio di St. Jost (J1) conduce lungo la cappella.
    San Jost (o chiamato Jodok(us), Iudocus, Judochus, Jobst, Jost, Joost, Josse, Joist, Yuzek, Juzeg, Jeg, Jouveen o Judganoc) è il santo patrono dei pellegrini, barcaioli, fornai; il cieco di infermerie e animali domestici; per un buon raccolto; contro temporali, incendi dannosi, incendi di cereali, febbre, peste e malattie.
