    Questo lago naturale, di origine glaciale, si svela agli escursionisti che arrivano attraverso i passi. Ben riparato dietro la sua barriera granitica, è impossibile vederlo dalla base del massiccio.
    Nel tempo, la geologia del massiccio ha permesso di scavare una conca e creare un bordo roccioso. È questa "serratura glaciale" che cancella il lago di Port Bielh dal paesaggio quando sei sotto.

    A parte qualche pino, non troverete molta vegetazione. Il sito è essenzialmente minerale ma offre comunque piccoli prati adatti al bivacco.
