    In alto, su una roccia sopra il Thaya, che domina un'ansa del fiume, dal 1928 si trova un rifugio con tavolo e panche. Di fronte si trovano i resti dell'insediamento medievale e del complesso castellano “Sabbia”.

    Secondo la tradizione qui riposava regolarmente anche il leggendario ladro Johann Georg Grasl dopo i suoi furti con scasso.

    Se non si prende il sentiero sopra la Plapperthütte, ma si cammina sotto di essa direttamente lungo le rive del Thaya, si trovano sempre luoghi di sosta idilliaci nascosti nelle nicchie rocciose. Tranquillo e appartato, davvero bello per osservare la natura in completo silenzio.
