    Il Vesder (o Vesdre o Weser) sorge sotto il nome di Weser sulle High Fens vicino al confine tedesco, a Roetgen, prima di attraversarlo per diversi chilometri. In territorio belga, il fiume sfocia presto nel bacino idrico di Eupen, un bacino di acqua potabile. Il percorso in deroga inizia ai piedi del “Wesertalsperre” alto 63 m.
