La basilica risale al regno di Jaume II, quando i francescani costruirono qui un convento in stile gotico nel 1281. La facciata, oggi barocca, risale al XVII secolo.
Dietro l'altare con la sua pala barocca si trova la tomba gotica del famoso Ramon Llull.
Da vedere anche l'organo, la cui cassa fu costruita tra il XVI e il XVIII secolo.
