    L'imponente forte dell'età del ferro in cima a Humbleton Hill offre viste imponenti su Glendale dalla sua posizione prominente ai margini dei Cheviots: un bel sito difensivo, anche se sicuramente spesso esposto al vento. La vetta di 300 metri è una salita breve e semplice dalla vicina Wooler.

    Nelle giornate limpide, le viste panoramiche dalla cima di Humbleton Hill sono superbe. Con ripidi pendii tutt'intorno, è facile capire perché i nostri antenati dell'età del ferro scelsero questo particolare luogo per costruire una fortezza collinare, affacciata sulla pianura di Milfield e sul Mare del Nord.
