    Su un pezzo di prato ben curato, una campana è posata su un grande masso, con sotto uno scudo di bronzo. "Dal 1978 al 1993, questa campana ci ha ricordato la coesione e la fermezza nella lotta per la libertà, Dio benedica e protegga Ermershausen", si legge.

    Ermershausen, chiamato il villaggio ribelle, resistette per 15 anni all'incorporazione a Maroldsweisach.
    Da allora in poi Ermershausen fu chiamato “il villaggio ribelle”. Hanno ribattezzato la piazza del municipio “Piazza del raid della polizia” e da ora in poi i cittadini si sono riuniti ogni notte del 19 maggio per commemorare l'operazione di polizia. La mattina del 19 maggio 1980 anche i cittadini si radunarono davanti al municipio. Vogliono far suonare per la prima volta la campana della libertà.
