Sul frontone orientale del santuario si erge una statua cesellata in rame e dorata. Il suo sguardo è rivolto verso il confine che fino al 1990 ha diviso l'Europa in due mondi. Nella primavera del 2003, ha rischiato di crollare a causa dei danni subiti nel corso dei decenni. Fu consacrata dall'arcivescovo Buchberger il 13 ottobre 1956. Fu rimossa, restaurata e ricollocata nella sua posizione originale all'inizio dell'anno del pellegrinaggio. Una targa commemorativa commemora i donatori della Madonna.
