Il Moosweiher, profondo undici metri, è stato creato rimuovendo la ghiaia per la costruzione della A5 negli anni dal 1960 al 1962, ovvero prima della creazione del distretto associato di Landwasser. Nel 1966 le fu dato il nome Moosweiher dal consiglio comunale e nel 1968 il laghetto di cava fu ricoltivato dall'Ufficio Giardini, furono predisposti percorsi con panchine, prati per prendere il sole e un parco giochi per bambini. Successivamente sono stati aggiunti un ristorante, un minigolf, servizi igienici e impianti sportivi con una club house.
