Forse la fortuna sperata è uno dei motivi per cui il ponte, mantenuto in rosso, è uno degli oggetti più fotografati della città. Di conseguenza è difficile raggiungere il ponte senza altre persone nella foto. Un altro motivo potrebbe essere la vista perfetta del vecchio quartiere dei magazzini di Trondheim.
