Popolarmente noto come Puente Romano, non c'è nulla nell'attuale fabbrica che tradisca tale provenienza. Non si può tuttavia escludere che nello stesso sito ci fosse un ponte romano, poiché quel luogo era l'unico che consentiva l'accesso alla città da nord.

L'abisso nel centro della città è attraversato dal Puente Nuevo della fine del XVIII secolo ("Ponte nuovo"). Da Plaza María Auxiliadora c'è una strada sterrata che scende al belvedere da cui si può avere la famosa vista di Ronda con il Puente Nuevo.
