Emerald Lake, known locally as Jezioro Szmaragdowe, is a captivating artificial lake situated on the eastern outskirts of Szczecin, Poland. Nestled within the picturesque Szczecin Landscape Park, also referred to as Puszcza Bukowa (Beech Forest), this unique body of water sits at an elevation of approximately 109 meters. Its most striking feature is its vibrant emerald-green to blue-green color, a result of sunlight reflecting off microscopic calcium carbonate particles from the site's past as a chalk mine.
