    La prima menzione della chiesa di Gresse risale al 1335. Fu distrutto durante la Guerra dei Trent'anni e parzialmente ricostruito nel 1664. Sotto la direzione dell'allora proprietario di Gut Gresse, Rittmeister von Knesebeck, fu costruito a partire dal 1681 un edificio caratterizzato dallo stile barocco. La torre è ricoperta da una torre campanaria, in cui pende una campana fusa nel 1736. Dal 1968 al 1970 sono stati eseguiti lavori di conversione, che contribuiscono a plasmare l'aspetto attuale.
