    L'Höhenburg si trova su una collina dell'Hoher Fläming, all'estremità sud-occidentale del capoluogo distrettuale di Bad Belzig, nel distretto di Potsdam-Mittelmark nel Brandeburgo. La collina su cui si trova il castello si chiama Bricciusberg. A circa 50 metri a sud-ovest del castello si trova la chiesetta di San Briccius e un vasto bosco.

    Sopra Bad Belzig troneggia il castello Eisenhardt, che ha più di mille anni e segna l'inizio dell'escursione al castello. Il complesso della fortezza ben conservato oggi ospita, tra l'altro, un negozio agricolo con una caffetteria e un albergo. Quando visiti il castello raggiungerai anche il mastio alto 28 metri, da cui potrai godere di una vista fenomenale su Bad Belzig e sul paesaggio circostante.
