Il Palazzo di Marmo di Potsdam, costruito nello stile del primo classicismo, si trova direttamente sulla Santa Sede, nel Giardino Nuovo. Fu creato tra il 1787 e il 1792 da Carl von Gonthard e Carl Gotthard Langhans, che in seguito costruirono anche la Porta di Brandeburgo, per conto dell'imperatore Federico Guglielmo II.
