    Molti anni fa ero al Katzenstein senza alcuna conoscenza o preparazione e da allora ho ancora un empio rispetto per esso. Per fortuna ho preso a calci un sasso sulla via del ritorno e ci è voluto un po' prima di sentirlo colpire. Con estrema cautela ho poi cercato un'altra discesa e l'ho trovata. In seguito ho fatto spesso escursioni con la mia famiglia da Hois'n a Laudachsee, anche attraverso l'Hohe Scharte, la Mairalm intorno al Traunstein, ma da allora ho evitato il Katzenstein come la peste, non bisogna per forza tentare destino.
