    Costruito intorno al 1500, il ponte è composto da tre archi con massicci cutwater triangolari che portano una stretta carreggiata tra bassi parapetti. Una volta attraversava la divisione tra Edimburgo e West Lothian. Il ponte fu ricostruito nel 1617-19 e soggetto a estese riparazioni nel 1687-91 da Robert Mylne (1633 - 1710), nel 1761, nel 1776 e nel 1854, tutte queste date compaiono sul ponte stesso.
