    La grotta di Hohllay con i suoi tunnel e le formazioni rocciose è un'ottima destinazione nella Piccola Svizzera lussemburghese. Già i romani tagliavano pietre dalla roccia per i loro progetti di costruzione e l'attività mineraria continuò nel Medioevo. In particolare, le macine sono state spezzate dalle rocce di arenaria. Si possono ancora vedere chiaramente le tracce degli strumenti sulle pareti della grotta.

    Facilmente uno dei migliori punti salienti della regione! I bizzarri modelli nella roccia sono dovuti all'attività mineraria dal Medioevo fino al XIX secolo. I pilastri lasciati gli impediscono di "crollare" e gli conferiscono un'atmosfera un po' da cattedrale.

    Il materiale per le macine necessario nella regione veniva estratto qui e quindi l'Hohllay è stato creato da mani umane.
