    Il castello dello Schiltern ha un bellissimo portale barocco. Direttamente di fronte si trova l'Arca di Noè, dove vengono coltivate antiche varietà di frutta e verdura. Direttamente di fronte al portale del castello si trova una fontana di acqua potabile!

    Il castello di Schiltern è un possente complesso a tre ali con quattro torri rotonde costruite tra il XVI e il XVIII secolo.

    Intorno al 1596, Erasmus Leisser fece ampliare la casa padronale alla periferia occidentale per formare l'ala nord del complesso odierno. Tra il 1629 e il 1636 furono aggiunte le ali ovest e sud. Nel 1645 il castello fu saccheggiato e devastato dalle truppe svedesi. Intorno al 1740, il castello era in gran parte barocco.
