Ci sono più di novanta case ed edifici a Gamla Linköping. Gli edifici provengono tutti dal centro di Linköping e sono stati trasferiti qui. Le case hanno dovuto lasciare il posto a nuove costruzioni. Le case sono ancora abitate oggi, il che fa sembrare il museo più un quartiere antico.
