Oggi ospita circa 1.300 pipistrelli.

Is Fort van Oelegem accessible for visitors with mobility issues or wheelchairs?

The interior of Fort van Oelegem, being a historic military structure with uneven surfaces, narrow passages, and steps, is generally not wheelchair accessible. It's best to contact the Fort Oelegem working group directly for specific accessibility inquiries.

What kind of wildlife, besides bats, can be spotted in the Fort van Oelegem area?

Beyond its significant bat population, the natural domain around Fort van Oelegem, including the surrounding forests and the moat, is home to various other wildlife.
