The adjacent miller's house, which functions as a hospitality spot, is typically open during these operational days and often on other days, especially weekends. It's always a good idea to check local listings or the mill's official website for the most current opening times before your visit.

Are dogs allowed on the trails around the Moedermeule Windmill?

Many of the walking paths and cycling routes in the scenic Gelrode area are dog-friendly, making it a great destination for hikers with canine companions. However, it's crucial to keep dogs on a leash, especially near the mill itself, in meadows where horses might be grazing, and to respect local regulations regarding waste disposal. Inside the mill or the cafe, specific rules may apply, so it's best to check beforehand.
