In questo sito fu originariamente costruita nel 1796 una cappella, che fu sostituita da una chiesa precedente dopo essere stata demolita nel 1848. La nuova chiesa che caratterizza il paesaggio urbano fu edificata nel 1927 e nel 1928. Il capomastro era Dominikus Böhm. L'edificio è una chiesa di una stanza con una torre tozza. Nelle pareti laterali ci sono finestre paraboliche. L'altare maggiore è di Gottfried Böhm, le vetrate ornamentali di Anton Wendling.[1] La chiesa è dotata di un organo Seifert.[2]

Una cappella più piccola sullo stesso sito esisteva già nel 1797 e fu sostituita da una chiesa nel 1848. Dopo che la torre di questa chiesa fu danneggiata da un fulmine nel 1897, il tetto crollò definitivamente nel 1926, rendendo necessaria una nuova costruzione per la comunità, anch'essa cresciuta. Fu incaricato Dominikus Böhm, che qui creò la sua prima chiesa per la Renania.
