    Nel Medioevo il “tiglio millenario” che si trovava davanti alla città aveva probabilmente la funzione di tiglio di corte e segnalava l'ubicazione della corte sull'Ems. Oggi è uno dei monumenti naturali viventi più importanti del Parco naturale Reno-Taunus e nel 1928 è stato posto sotto tutela dei monumenti. L'albero è profondamente spaccato. Per salvarlo, è stata eretta una colonna centrale in acciaio per sostenere i frammenti dell'albero utilizzando una moltitudine di cavi d'acciaio. La circonferenza del tronco è di quasi 15 metri.
