    Il primo castello di Louye è menzionato negli annali storici della Normandia come una delle ultime fortezze della linea di difesa di Riccardo Cuor di Leone contro Filippo Augusto. Di questa fortezza originaria rimangono solo pochi elementi murari, il castello è stato completamente ricostruito tra il 1478 e il 1508 dalla famiglia Dreux. Si tratta di una proprietà privata che appartiene alla stessa famiglia dalla fine del XIX secolo.
