    Le rovine del castello dominano la città di Pommelsbrunn. Vale sicuramente la pena fare una gita al punto panoramico, perché la vista sulla città e sulla regione di Norimberga è semplicemente fantastica.

    Antica leggenda sul Lichtenstein e sul Lichteneck: l'Houbirg di fronte all'Houbirg su un'aspra montagna era il castello di Lichtenstein e più in alto nella valle il castello di Lichteneck. Si narra che i proprietari di entrambi i castelli si segnalassero a vicenda quando i mercanti scendevano a valle sulla strada che da Norimberga porta alla Boemia con i loro beni, e poi li derubarono. Alla fine entrambi i castelli furono distrutti dai Norimberga; l'ultimo Lichtensteiner, invece, fuggì in Boemia e lì divenne l'antenato della Casata dei Lichtenstein.
