    Il ponte Monnow è l'unico ponte fluviale fortificato medievale sopravvissuto in Gran Bretagna dove la torre del cancello si erge sul ponte.     Facile passeggiata nel centro di Monmouth. Non è affatto difficile. Un sacco di parcheggio disponibile e posti per mangiare e bere. Monmouth è una città di confine e ha una lunga storia militare. I romani fondarono qui una guarnigione e la chiamarono Blestium.
