The circular tour begins at the train station in Altenmarkt. From here, the route takes you first on asphalt, then on gravel, up towards the Reitlehenalm. You continue along a forest path to the Bürgerbergalm. The first climb is followed by a pleasant descent to the mountain pasture.

After the start past the Zauchensee, it goes up a forest path with seven hairpin bends to the Strimsalmen, then further through the forest to the Sonnalm. This is managed in summer and winter. Then it's back to the starting point in Zauchensee via the Oberzauchenseealmen.
