Engelbostel bis Verden
Zum Abschluss des verlängerten Wochenendes fuhr ich heute bis Verden, dann mit dem Zug nach Bremen und weiter mit dem Rad nach Hause.
Den Gasthof Zum alten Krug in Engelbostel kann ich nur bedingt empfehlen: hat einen gewissen Charme, aber manches ist einfach zu alt und "abgeranzt".

Von Engelbostel nach Alfeld
Heute also die Tour mit den Ex-Kollegen und als Höhepunkt den letzten "Tag der offenen Tür" am Geo600. Das wurde vor gut 30 Jahren erbaut, um Gravitationswellen zu entdecken. Zubringer-Fahrt für die Dreiertour morgen ab Hannover Hbf. Statt wie üblich ziemlich früh aufzustehen und auf die Bahn zu hoffen, bin ich einen Tag früher los und mit dem Rad gefahren. Rotenburg - Hamburg/Harburg
Von Rotenburg nach Hamburg am 1. Mai bei herrlichem Frühsommer-Wetter. Keine Wolke am Himmel und endlich wieder durchgehend "Luft" an Armen und Beinen.

Lilienthal - Bremerhaven und zurück
Schöne Sonntagstour zur Fischparty am Schaufenster Fischereihafen. Der Hinweg war schön, abwechslungsreich und nur selten nah am Straßenverkehr, trotzdem ist die Strecke ziemlich gradlinig. Schade nur, dass in OHZ der Bahnübergang zum Tinzenberg gesperrt ist.

Spontane Wanderung an einem kalten und
nebligen Dezember-Sonntag. Gegen Mittag konnte sich die Sonne kurz durchsetzen, bevor der Nebel wieder dichter wurde. Lilienthal, Oste, Buchholz
Bei kräftigem Nordwestwind war diese Tour ein Genuss. Abwechslungsreiche Wege, schöne Waldwege und viel Rückenwind, alles ziemlich abseits vom Autoverkehr. Und trocken ist es auch geblieben 😊

Lilienthal - Lohne (Oldenburg)

I had considered exploring Berlin by bike, even passing through the Brandenburg Gate, but the activity in Spandau was already enough for me, and I quickly looked for the Havel again.
