Today's tour ran from the Ardennes to the Black Forest. We cycled from Marlenheim via Haguenau to Drusenheim. The route was mostly on country roads, mostly without bike lanes, and with moderate traffic. I wouldn't plan it that way again, nor would I recommend it.

From Riquewihr, we followed local bike paths through the vineyards to Ribeauville and then descended into the plains to the EV5. There were endless vineyards to see. And everywhere, winegrowers were harvesting their crops, whether traditionally by hand or with industrial machinery.

In the morning, the sky was heavily overcast and raining. After breakfast, it was still drizzling lightly, so we put on our rain gear as a precaution.
