This tour doesn't need a big description. It leads over the famous Cloef with an overwhelming view over the Saar loop. This variant begins directly at the ferry / Saarschleifenlodge.

For a primeval forest, the forest still looks well-groomed here. However, as a pleasure hiker, one is surprised at the blocked paths due to dangerous dry trees. We found the hammock place interesting, although there would certainly have been nicer places for it. That was our first tour in Saarland. In

On the last day in the Dahner Felsenland we decided to do a section of the border-crossing Burgenweg. Today, castles and great rocks have alternated, mostly great paths in between. We chose the way back in such a way that we still passed the Pfaffenfels, which was definitely worth it.

The thenen focus of the tour is apt, it leads along many ponds. It has only a few meters in altitude and is therefore easy to manage. The tour delivers what the title promises. Our first tour in the previously unknown Dahner Felsenland inspired us completely. In the brochure the tour was given as 5 hours, but in the end it was actually 4.5 hours. A great tour that we can absolutely recommend.

More of a walk than a hike, but sturdy shoes and hiking poles are helpful. Please do not be confused by the warning signs. Access to the Schleierfall is permitted, but you are not allowed to climb it.
