Am Samstag lief auf NDR3 eine Reportage über die zugefrorene Ostsee an der Seebrücke in Prerow.
„Das müssen wir uns ansehen!“, sagte ich – und zack, standen wir heute dort … zusammen mit gefühlt 100.000 anderen spontanen Ostsee-Entdeckern.

Schloss Lichtenstein
Heute stand ein Ausflug in die Schwäbische Alb auf dem Programm und ich besuchte das Schloss Lichtenstein, es ist das „Märchenschloss Württembergs“.
Zuvor kletterte ich mit meiner Enkeltochter wagemutig im Abenteuerpark "Kletterwald Schloss" von Baum zu Baum und hatte viel Spaß dabei.
Das heutige Schloss entstand 1840–1842 im neugotischen Stil…

Well, that's a coincidence: I was in Lietzow on Rügen today, and around 1893, the builder of the railway line over the Lietzow Dam had a castle built there, modeled on Lichtenstein Castle. 😆

The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is a narrow suspension bridge made of ropes that connects the island to the mainland. The bridge spans about 20 meters above a raging precipice and is about 30 meters long.

This was one of our hikes on the north coast of Northern Ireland... the most beautiful! (I was very impressed)

I actually hate cycle paths along roads, but because the road was closed in Rövershagen (railway crossing), it was quite pleasant to ride today. The section from Gelbensande to Rövershagen was empty of people (cars)!
