Elbspaziergang bei Blankenese
Bei bedecktem Himmel mit Fähren 72/62 bis Neumühlen/Övelgönne. Auf der Elbe gefühlt wie Fahrt in den Urlaub. Anschließend zu Fuß bis Jänischpark immer an der Elbe am Strand entlang. Von dort mit dem Bus weiter bis Blankenese statt geplant zu Fuß, war dann doch zu eintönig mit der Zeit. Dort…

An acclimatization walk in glorious spring weather. The inevitable, noisy stretches of highway contrasted with a more natural stretch of the Old Rhine, blooming patches of larkspur, scattered with wood anemones, and the Istein Rock. The weather and visibility were good, so overall, it was a great start!

It was tight again when our train left. Again, hardly any traffic, lovely ups and downs through a landscape with intensive agriculture. Contributions to biodiversity generally limited to hedges, trees, field copses.
Conclusion: quiet, relaxing driving in a damaged landscape, or one that must be "restored" for our descendants.
