Nice one! There are much cooler lookout spots up to the summit than the famous instagram spot... just watch out for good spots.

Last night in the hostel I found out from other backpackers that they wanted to hike to Roys Peak in the morning for sunrise. I was there spontaneously. A nice out and back loop, take care it is in the sun all day and well protected from the wind so bring sun block.

A really well maintained track that gets a little loose towards the top *watch those ankles 😉

Arriving on time will ensure you get a parking space. The path is wide and dusty but rarely steep. From the viewpoint it takes another half an hour to reach the summit. There is no summit cross here, just a radio mast.
