On our drive from Dresden to our next accommodation in Görlitz, we hiked through part of the Königshain Hills. Granite was quarried here on a large scale. The tour of the abandoned quarries was therefore quite entertaining.

There are now several signs that describe and explain the granite quarrying process well.
