The summit can be reached quite quickly from the Capanna Albagno, and after arriving at the hut not too late and spending the night there, it is suitable for a short excursion, with a fantastic panoramic view of the snow-capped Alpine giants and central Ticino.

Cima del Gaggio is located in the Italian part of Switzerland (Ticino / Ticino) and is usually just referred to as "Gaggio". The Gaggio is located at the southern tip of the western ridge of the Leventina Valley. Due to its location on the edge of this ridge, the Gaggio offers fantastic and unobstructed views to the north, east and south.
