A wonderful café with homemade cakes, pastries, and cookies. The coffee is also delicious and always hot 😉. This café is run by volunteers, and the proceeds benefit the historic Fort Grauer Ort. Restrooms are available on site.

Within the fortress grounds of Grauerort, visitors can enjoy a regularly operating narrow-gauge railway (600 mm track). Dedicated railway enthusiasts welcome visitors to take a seat in converted ammunition wagons. The scenic route runs for one kilometer from the engine shed to the former landing stage on the Elbe River and back.

A very good hiking and cycling route runs along the Elbe dike at Grauer Ort. The beach area is perfect for a relaxing break. Benches are available on the dike, offering a wide view of the Elbe and the beach. Opposite this lovely spot is the historic Grauer Ort fortress. A visit here is also highly recommended and quite interesting 👍🏻.
